Aww, I love this. Reminds me. I remember when I was little, I would sit around our pond up at our property on my own when I came with my dad and brothers, watching as the dragonflies skimmed the water and then would surround me as if it were a festival. My dad gave me a dragonfly ring when I was in my single digit years. After he passed away when I was 11, I would wear that ring to all the major events and accomplishments, or just those reminiscent days of my life. From volleyball banquets, concerts, graduation, etc just so a piece of my dad were with me to see me grow. The ring has withered and lost some jewels, but it will always mean so much to me, just as the insect itself. The symbol of rebirth, growth, new life, and carrying on on ones own path. I would love to get a tattoo of one but I wouldn't want to people to ask about something so personal...
